‘School connect’ is a new cutting-edge social media product aimed at providing New Zealand schools with a professional
Facebook and social media set up which eliminates security issues and provides in-depth training for teachers.
Hamilton Girls High School, Sacred Heart Girls College, Fraser High School and Cambridge High School all have made the
move online to connect with its students through this social media product.
"We engaged MediaPA to set up Fraser High Schools new Careers and Gateway Facebook Page as well as YouTube, Pinterest
and Twitter social media platforms," says Melanie Tooke, Gateway co-ordinator at Hamilton-based Fraser High School.
“MediaPA professionally implement four Social Media platforms including a School Facebook Page (which has special apps),
Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube,” says Phillip Quay, CEO of MediaPA.
"We had a “Friends” Facebook Page, but it wasn’t working for us. I knew what I wanted but no one in our team had the
time or the expertise to create what I had in mind. Engaging MediaPA has enabled us to have a more professional approach
by utilising Facebook as well as other social media platforms to connect with our students and stakeholders," Tooke
said.
"Being a school we had specific needs and MediaPA were able to set up a number of functions within the Facebook page to
meet our requirements. We found the MediaPA team to be very approachable and mindful of our needs and they have
delivered on everything that we asked of them. They have been extremely patient and continue to deliver excellent
service, editing and updating the page when requested," Tooke said.
MediaPA have best performing social media strategies and implementation combined with PR. Media PA provides all sized
businesses in New Zealand with the total solution to branding and on-line marketing and is excited to be assisting
schools in the social media arena.
