Ministry of Education and James Hardie settle claim
The Ministry of Education and James Hardie Industries plc have reached settlement in relation to weather-tightness claims made against James Hardie’s two New Zealand subsidiaries in April this year.
Both parties are satisfied with the outcome, which will:
• Support the Ministry of Education’s remediation of weather-tightness-related issues in existing school property
• Support future, high quality school property developments around New Zealand
• Bring a discontinuation of the claims by the Ministry of Education against James Hardie’s New Zealand subsidiaries.
The parties have agreed to keep specific details of the agreement confidential.
