Pasifika achievers to be recognised at the BEST Prime Minister’s Awards tomorrow

Pasifika success in the tertiary sector and workplace will be celebrated tomorrow at the BEST Pacific Institute of Education’s Prime Minister’s Awards.

The BEST Prime Minister’s Awards will be presented tomorrow at 11.30am, Friday, 13 December 2013, as part of BEST’s Tertiary Graduation Ceremony at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau.

The inaugural BEST Prime Minister’s Awards were presented in 2012 by the Prime Minister, Rt Hon. John Key. The awards align with the Government’s policies of lifting achievement for Pasifika and Maori in education.

The BEST Prime Minister’s Awards include awards for Outstanding Academic Achievement and Outstanding Workplace Progression. The awards are an opportunity to bring significant recognition to Pasifika success in tertiary education and in business.

For over 25 years, BEST Pacific Institute of Education has helped thousands of Pasifika people into higher tertiary education and employment at a rate higher than any other private training establishment in New Zealand.

Recipients of the inaugural 2012 BEST Prime Minister’s Awards were Emie Robertson (Outstanding Academic Achievement) and Jo Moors (Outstanding Workplace Progress).

Event: BEST Pacific Institute of Education’s Prime Minister’s Awards, part of the BEST Pacific Tertiary Graduation Ceremony.
