Teachers Offered Ideashare Workshops
Design and photography teacher at Sacred Heart College, Ashton Northcott – formerly a top degree student at EIT – uses ideaschool’s laser cutter to create a woodcut.
EIT’s ideaschool aims to build stronger links with local arts educators in offering a series of professional development workshops to secondary school teachers in Hawke’s Bay.
Focusing on arts, design, fashion, music and screen, the ideashare workshops will particularly suit art, design, textiles, music and media teachers.
ideaschool tutors will be running the workshops on campus over the upcoming school holiday break. Held on consecutive days, from Monday, 7 October, to Friday, 11 October, they will cover:
. Working 3D: Laser cutter and 3D printer with 3D specialist Alan Neilson and designers Diane Wilkie and Dean Moroney using Adobe illustrator and Blender
. The World of Digital Pattern-Making – a hands-on workshop with ideaschool’s Cheryl Downie and Sew Unlimited’s Caroline Lawrence on digital pattern-making PAD Elite and Master Marker v4.8.
. Check 1, 2: We Have Sound with Ron Kessels, learning facilitator for ideaschool’s contemporary music performance programme and freelance sound engineer
