And The Wins Keep Coming For Rangi Ruru Girls’ School
Another sporting achievement by Rangi Ruru Girls’ School, this time by the senior cycling team which this week retained the Litolff Cup.
This preeminent cycling competition for secondary schools has historically been dominated by Villa Maria and this win by Rangi is particularly significant, as the school’s Cycling coach Anton Mogridge explains.
“Our girls first won it in 2012 so to take it out two years in a row after Villa has such a strong history in winning and retaining it, is an outstanding achievement. It’s a credit to the girls and of course our coaches who are all absolutely focused and dedicated to do the very best they can, some in multiple disciplines,” he says.
Litolff Cup winning team member Gabby Gray heads off to Taupo on Saturday for the National Secondary School Duathlon champs and a couple of days later heads to Australia with the NZSS Cross Country team to race in the Australian Secondary School championships in Tasmania.
