CEO Joining Worlds Gifted in Kentucky
Gifted Kids CEO Deb Clark will be presenting at the 20th World Gifted Conference being held in Louisville, Kentucky from 10th – 14th August.
The World Council for Gifted and Talented Children are holding the 20th World Gifted Conference this year with gifted educators from around the world in attendance. The conference is designed to increase public awareness of gifted education, increase the investment in gifted and talented students and generate enthusiasm for the future of the field of gifted and talented education.
“It is a great opportunity to meet and work alongside gifted educators from around the world,” says Ms Clark.
“The conference gives link-minded educators a place to share innovations, concerns, strategies and educational practices that can be used to shape new frameworks and theories in gifted education” continues Ms Clark.
Joining Ms Clark at the conference is Gifted Kids Board Member and Massey University Associate Professor in Gifted Education Tracey Riley who is one of ten educators chosen to be key note speakers at the conference.
Gifted Kids was founded in 2000 to meet the educational and social needs of gifted children in New Zealand. Gifted Kids delivers services in Northern Wairoa, Auckland, Rotorua, Masterton, Hutt Valley, Wellington, Dunedin, and Invercargill.
The international conference is held every two years during late July or Early August. Past conferences have been held in London, San Francisco, Jerusalem, Montréal, Manila, Hamburg, Salt Lake City, Sydney, The Hague, Toronto, Hong Kong, Seattle, Istanbul, Barcelona, Adelaide, New Orleans, Warwick, Vancouver, and Prague.
