Independent Schools Come Together All Under One-Roof… for One-Day!
The Inaugural Independent Schools Expo, being held at the Ellerslie Events Centre (Ellerslie Racecourse), Auckland, next
Sunday 11 August from 10am – 5pm, is the only chance to gather information and speak to representatives in exhibition
stands, from the best Private Schools in Auckland and around the country.
“ This free to enter event is the only opportunity for parents, grandparents or caregivers to bring there kids along for
a great day out, in a fun environment and gather information from the Independent Schools in one place at one time” says
co-organiser Brian Peters “If you’re an expectant parent or a new parent there is no time like the present to plan for
your child’s education, and this expo provides a great place to look at the options for now or into the future” he says
Education is more important than ever and this is the best place to see if the private school environment is the one
that will help your children the most.
Instead of visiting the school or skimming through websites the chance of meeting and even talking to students from the
Independent Schools on-show is a huge benefit to parents and there kids.
“There is no exhibition where you can get all the information you require, ask all the questions you need in such a
short span of time, in our largest city… this expo is long overdue” says Mr Peters “ This is the first step, so you
won’t feel like there is any obligation, and allows you to follow-up, move forward, or go to open days after the show”
Choosing the correct school that suits your child is no easy decision and maybe one of the most important ones people
make for their kids. The Independent Schools Expo enables the whole family to explore the different types of schools,
educational philosophies and special programmes, day or boarding.
Everyday things can be explored here, like transport options to and from the schools to where people live, information
about scholarships and of course determine budget.
Find a pre-school, primary, middle or high school which provides your child’s personalilty with the best teaching in a
secure environment, as well as offering discipline values and tradition.
It is not all about information and talking, there is also fun to be had at the show, with many of the schools
performing on stage throughout the day, from Junior Orchestras to Jazz and Guitar playing.
Sit and watch a school that your child could perform with in the future, while having a coffee and a bite-to-eat at the
Café on site, near the entertainment stage.
“If you have kids and have thought about a private education at an Independent School, or are interested in simply
finding out what’s available you must visit this expo” says Mr Peters “ It’s a great winters day out with the kids”.
