UCOL drives recruitment campaign
Starting today, UCOL is taking the enrolment process out into the community, to make it easier for people to enrol for programmes with mid-year start dates.
A green UCOL bus usually used for a bus driver training qualification has been given a new temporary mission – helping prospective students find out more about the programmes they’re interested in.
The bus will be pulling up in Shannon and Levin today, and will also head to Pahiatua, Summerhill, Dannevirke and Feilding this week. This weekend it will park up in the Palmerston North Square and then next week it will roll on to Pioneer Highway, Kelvin Grove, Tremaine Ave, The Square again and Highbury.
UCOL Director of Student Experience Karyn Thomson says people will be able to complete the full enrolment process on board the bus, and get any information they need. “Mobile enrolment is about getting out there, to wider areas than normal. We want to make it as easy as possible for people, to find out about the education options they’re interested in.”
“We’re pleased to be able to use the UCOL green bus for this purpose to support prospective students.”
All those who board the bus have the option to go in the draw to win an i-pad mini. Follow the journey on the UCOL Facebook page – www.facebook.com/ucolnz or #UCOLgreenbus.
