Open Polytechnic celebrates Auckland graduation

The Open Polytechnic is proud to be celebrating student success this week at its Auckland graduation ceremony (28 May).

The nation’s specialist provider of distance learning, the Open Polytechnic holds ceremonies in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland each year.

Held at the ASB Theatre, Aotea Centre, the Auckland graduation ceremony will see over 180 graduates from all over the upper North Island receiving their diploma and degrees in early childhood education, business, engineering technology, information management, communications, applied science, arts and health.

“Our students have shown considerable self-motivation and determination to get to this point, many having to juggle their study around full time work, family and other commitments. It will be a pleasure to be a part of recognising this dedication and commitment at our graduation ceremonies,” says Dr Caroline Seelig, Open Polytechnic Chief Executive.

Author, researcher, publisher and TV-presenter, Gordon Dryden, will be the guest speaker at the ceremony.

The Auckland graduation ceremony will be live web streamed from the Open Polytechnic website from 4.30pm on 28 May at: http://openpolytechnic.ac.nz/study-with-us/graduation/graduation-live-stream/.

Nationwide, over 1100 students will receive their diplomas and degrees from the Open Polytechnic this graduating year.
