Business as usual at CMITO and PrintNZ
It will be business as usual for the Communications and Media ITO and PrintNZ, despite the early departure of general manager, Tim Pankhurst.
After 30 years in the publishing industry, Tim Pankhurst, the recently appointed general manager of CMITO and PrintNZ, is set to take up the role of chief executive of Seafood New Zealand in April.
Tim says while he is sad to be leaving the print and publishing industry after so long, the seafood role was too good to pass up.
“CMITO and PrintNZ both have strong teams and boards of management in place. This will ensure that companies with trainees in the print, packaging, journalism and signmaking industries and PrintNZ Members will continue to receive a high level of service and support,” Tim says.
“It will be business as usual, with a strong focus in the first quarter on securing the current training arrangements and enhancing the existing strong relationships between CMITO, PrintNZ and the industries we serve.
“We have really good teams in place so my departure at the end of March will not cause any loss of momentum,” Tim says
CMITO Board chairperson, Nigel Harrison, and PrintNZ president, John Boyle, affirm the strong position of the two organisations.
“The existing management and teams of both organisations ensure that CMITO and PrintNZ are well placed to continue to provide the wide range of training programmes and member services that companies in our industries are used to,” Nigel says.
Ends.
