Improvements in Ministry of Education’s final pay-cycle for 2012
More than 73,000 school staff received their final pay for 2012 today.
This pay-run was smaller than last week’s as it did not include staff who work term-time only.
Chief Information Officer, Leanne Gibson, says she is pleased this pay run went more smoothly than last week’s.
“The Ministry and Talent2 have been working hard to make improvements, and I also want to thank schools and payroll administrators for all the additional effort they’ve put in over recent weeks.
“We’re aware that approximately 300 school staff due to receive their holiday pay today have not yet received it, and we can assure them the money will be in their accounts before Christmas.
“We also appreciate the concern from schools about some overpayments to staff and will work with them on this issue.”
If anyone is not paid or is significantly underpaid the Ministry has measures in place to pay them directly.
This can be done by calling 0800 663 772 or emailing resourcing@minedu.govt.nz with ‘manual payment’ in the subject line.
