Study in style – for free
As many school-leavers look for summer work to fund tertiary study, one aspiring first-year fashion designer could be studying fee-free in 2013.
The Tempo Fashion Design Scholarship valued at $5000, offers one student enrolled in Wintec’s Diploma in Fashion Design and Practice the opportunity to have their course fees fully funded for the first year of study.
Students who apply to enrol in the programme will be automatically considered for the scholarship. Applicants will then be judged on academic merit, personal character, commitment and potential to succeed in the fashion industry by industry experts and Wintec’s Fashion Designers in Residence, NYNE.
The Diploma in Fashion Design and Practice course offers knowledge in design, production and distribution as well as fashion production, culture, history, industry, retailing, distribution materials and basic skills in fashion design technology.
At the end of each year, fashion students showcase their work in a professional runway event.
The course begins in mid-February at Wintec’s City campus.
