More than 90% of schools complete end-of-year process
More than 90 per cent of schools have now completed their end-of-year pay process, with the Ministry of Education
continuing to support schools still finalising them.
Group Manager, Rebecca Elvy, says the Ministry and Talent 2 are committed to fully supporting the remaining schools to
help them successfully complete the process.
“It’s very encouraging that so many schools have sent their information in, and any payroll administrator still needing
additional help will receive it whether that is over the phone or through an expert advisor visiting them.”
.
Ms Elvy says she can assure all school staff that there are measures in place to ensure they receive their Christmas
pay.
“We are pleased every pay cycle has improved and expect that to continue, but we are ready to quickly deal with any case
where a staff member might not be paid.
“In the first instance, the staff member can contact their payroll administrator and ask for an advance. If this is not
possible they should contact the Ministry directly and we will get it sorted as quickly as possible for them.”
Emails can be sent to resourcing@minedu.govt.nz with “Not Paid” or “Underpaid” in the subject line.
Ms Elvy says tomorrow is also the last day for schools to submit their invoices for travel costs and up to two hours of
staff costs arising from attending the Novopay training road shows.
More information about how to do this can be found at www.novopay.govt.nz
