Clever students awarded at ceremony tomorrow

The 2012 Bright Sparks Awards is New Zealand’s premier electronics and programming competition for school students. Tomorrow night a mix of students, parents, teachers, technology industry leaders, university and community leaders, and politicians will gather together for an awards event and project showcase at the Council Chambers in Wellington.

Visit brightsparks.org.nz to view finalist’s profiles. Winners will be announced at 7pm on the website, and we will be tweeting throughout the ceremony.

The overall winner of the competition will receive the Bright Sparks - Baldwins Intellectual Property Young Inventor of the Year award, which includes a $1000 cash prize and the opportunity to be mentored for a year by one of the firm’s patent attorneys.
