Release Finalists For Māori Language Awards
Announced
Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori is
announcing the finalists for the Māori Language Awards 2012
on Marae Investigates this Sunday. There are 30 finalists in
15 categories. ‘Congratulations and good luck to all
finalists’ says CE Glenis Philip-Barbara. ‘Their
active support for the Māori language is a powerful
demonstration of what is needed all over
Aotearoa.’ ‘With their help, te reo Māori will
continue to grow and eventually flourish as an ordinary
language of communication.’ Note that some entrants are
finalists in more than one category. Māori
