Computer Power – stronger than ever
Computer Power Plus (the New Zealand operation of the former Computer Power Institute) will be graduating more than 80 students at a ceremony to be held at the James Cook Grand Chancellor Hotel at 6.30pm on Friday 15 June.
Students are graduating in certificate programmes through to diplomas in business computing and business systems, network engineering, software development, and systems technology.
“This graduation is very special. It demonstrates the drive and determination of our students to succeed in what was a very difficult situation. Two months down the track with new management now in place* we are thrilled to be celebrating Computer Power Plus students’ success,” says Wellington Area Manager, Janet Stanion.
“The companies who employ our students have continued to support us as they believe in the training we provide. Computer Power Plus graduates have advanced IT skills and because our students are working or have been on work experience, which we arrange, they immediately make a difference to productivity and contribute to the bottom-line. The crucial difference between Computer Power Plus and many other training providers is the high success rate in placing graduates in work following their studies.
“Our company’s investment in training with Computer Power Plus reaps benefits quickly and that’s important to us as the IT industry is highly competitive and changes quickly,” says Lynne Rice, IT Manager, LANtech Limited, a national IT service provider.
“We remain one of the biggest providers of IT training in New Zealand. We have a unique and flexible approach to assisting students achieve an IT qualification and for those already working in or seeking to find employment in the IT industry, we are the provider of choice for New Zealand and international students seeking to advance their careers,” says Janet Stanion.
