Design And Arts College Celebrates Move Back to Central City
After a year of being in temporary facilities, whilst their premises remained off limits in the red zone. The Design and
Arts College ( D) is pleased to announce the opening of Phase One of a Two Phase plan for premises in a new central city location . It
has been an extremely difficult year without permanent premises and the challenges created by the earthquakes have been
huge, however D have proven that all the challenges they have faced can be overcome and “New Beginnings” is what this celebration is
all about.
D are celebrating their return to the Central City and the completion of Phase one of new premises, 52-54 Oxford Terrace
by hosting an Official Opening named “ New Beginnings“ This celebration will be on Tuesday 27th March from 5.30pm to
8.30pm with an official welcoming at 6pm.
The Event is open to the public and we could encourage everyone to come along, view our new premises which will also
feature an exhibition of our students work. Michele Atkins the Sales and Marketing Manager at D says “This is a celebration of our new premises and our students who have proven their ability to remain creative and
focused despite what mother nature challenged them with. We are so proud of our new premises and our students and look
forward to opening our doors to showcase these premises as well as a selection of amazing works produced by our talented
students. For those who are unable to make it on the evening, we will be offering tours of our new premises in the
coming weeks. We welcome anyone to contact us for a tour in the future. We really want to show the wider community our
new premises and student work which will continually be on show throughout the building.”
D is committed to Christchurch and continuing to provide quality education to students from all over NZ and overseas.
