Campus Living Villages in New Zealand appoints new Chief Executive Officer
Campus Living Villages (CLV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Darryll Park as Chief Executive Officer of CLV in New Zealand (CLV NZ).
In his role as CEO, Darryll will be responsible for the performance and strategic direction, operation and development of the New Zealand business.
Current CEO and Managing Director of CLV NZ, Tom Gregg is pleased to welcome Darryll aboard. “CLV is delighted to have gained someone of Darryll’s calibre to lead the New Zealand business in its next stage of development. Both CLV and Darryll are committed to supporting the long-term future and recovery of Christchurch as well as continuing to grow CLV’s operations nationally,” he says.
Darryll has occupied a number of executive roles, including Special Projects at Stella Travel Services, Chief Executive Officer of HRG New Zealand Limited and Managing Director/CEO/Owner of the successful Signature Travel Group.
Prior to this, Darryll was Chief Executive Officer of Christchurch and Canterbury Marketing Limited, where he delivered significant growth in visitor numbers and repositioned Canterbury as a destination rather than merely a gateway to New Zealand’s South Island.
Darryll is also well-known in New Zealand for his work in a number of national aviation roles including as previous Manager South Island at Air New Zealand, and continuing roles as Deputy Chairman of the Aviation Security Service and Board Member of the Civil Aviation Authority.
He currently serves on the Boards of a number of organisations as a Director of the Canterbury Rugby Football Union, a member of the South Island Grants Committee for the New Zealand Community Trust and Executive Chairman of Flavour Travel Group.
”I am excited by the challenges of being CEO for CLV NZ, and looking forward to picking up a well-regarded NZ business and developing it further with the support of the staff. I am also keen to add value to the work of CLV globally and to my role as a member of the Global Executive Team. I am pleased to have the support of Tom Gregg as MD as I take up the reins.”
Tom, who has been Managing Director and CEO of CLV NZ since 2008, will continue with the position of Managing Director of the New Zealand business.
Global CEO, Martin Earp says, “CLV is delighted that Tom will continue to be involved in the business, bringing a wealth of expertise and his extensive knowledge of the sector to support Darryll in his role.”
