AgITO’s performance rated top notch by NZQA

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) has rated AgITO as a top performing industry training organisation in an External Evaluation and Review (EER) conducted recently. NZQA rated AgITO’s performance as ‘Excellent’ in all six areas reviewed and the overall outcome of the evaluation was that NZQA is highly confident in AgITO’s self-assessment and performance.

AgITO is the first industry training organisation to be rated ‘Excellent’ in every category.

“The external review confirms that we are leading the field,” AgITO chief executive, Kevin Bryant, says. “It means our trainees and stakeholders in the industry can have confidence that their industry training organisation is doing a good job.

“Essentially it confirms that we know what quality looks like, we understand the outcomes our industry needs and that we add value to our industry and to our trainees. Quality is embedded in our organisation and we continually improve in all areas of our business as we need to.”

Through the review, the ITO is held accountable to their trainees, employers, industry stakeholders and the Government.

Mr Bryant says the process undertaken by NZQA was thorough. It verified that the training arranged by AgITO is effective and that the ITO undertakes quality assessment that meets best practice standards. The review also confirmed the capability of AgITO’s governance and management in supporting the organisation to do the best job it can.

“The evaluation was robust and concise and we are thrilled to achieve the perfect result and top scores in every category. We knew we ran a sound ITO that is focused on our customers, built on quality foundations and has a mindset of continuous improvement, and it is great to have this externally confirmed by NZQA,” Kevin Bryant says.

“AgITO is proud to have achieved this result and we look forward to continuing to deliver excellence in all areas of our business.”
