ACE Sector Applauds Labour Tertiary Education Policy
ACE Aotearoa Board Co - Chairs Wendel Richardson and Ani Pahuru - Huriwai say Labour’s Tertiary Education policy acknowledges the importance of the Adult and Community Education Sector.
“We applaud Labour’s commitment to restoring $13million cut from Adult and Community education (ACE) funding. It shows the party understands the contribution our sector makes to ensuring adults have access to high quality, low cost, second chance education in their community.”
The effect of the funding cuts has been felt across communities and restoration of some funding is a first step towards building sustainable ACE services with their associated social and economic returns into the future.
