Aoraki Polytechnic Ranked First in New Zealand
Data released today by the TEC ranked Aoraki Polytechnic as number one in the ITP sector for course completion at 84%. A further upgrade from last year's second place rank.
The EPI data for Aoraki and for the sector is now available on the TEC website at this link http://www.tec.govt.nz/Reports/2010/Aoraki-Polytechnicpdf
Chief Executive, Kay Nelson feels the ranking denotes the calibre of staff and commitment of students at Aoraki, "we couldn't be more delighted with our results, particularly the 100% increase in success and retention from last year! Our staff and students have worked very hard to achieve this outstanding result, and we will continue to strive for improvement."
"Progression results always favour organisations who have degrees and have students in the Institution for 3 years moving up the framework. We at Aoraki are building our portfolio of level 5 and 6 programmes, and building on our relationships with other Tertiary organisations to ensure our students have the same pathway opportunities. All of our staff and students can be rightly proud of their achievements."
