Bulls Kindergarten fundraiser goes for gold
Fun and fundraising are on the cards for Bulls Kindergarten as tickets go on sale for their Chip and Kick Casino Night to be held October 1.
Organisers were inspired by the last casino evening, which attracted over 270 punters, and hope to see an even bigger turnout at the Bulls Town Hall this time round.
As a member of the not for profit Ruahine Kindergarten Association, Bulls Kindergarten appreciates community support in providing the best possible learning environment for local children.
Bulls Kindergarten Chairperson, Rachel Cunliffe, described fundraising as “hard work” but said, “the community’s support allows us to keep moving forward with kindergarten developments”.
“It also provides a good excuse to catch up with people and build relationships between Bulls Kindergarten and local businesses”, she said.
With the continued support of principal sponsor, Firestone Rangitikei Tyre Centre, Bulls Kindergarten is working to ensure the Casino Night is a high quality event designed to bring the community together.
“People can expect good company, lots of fun, good food and drink, and the chance to bid for some fabulous prize packages at the end of the evening”, said Head Teacher Kerri Osborne.
For the $55 ticket price, all ticket holders will receive complimentary gambling chips at the beginning of the evening. The event is fully catered, with an open bar, and any winnings may be used to bid for prizes in an end-of-evening auction.
All funds raised will go towards the completion of Bulls Kindergartens’ engaging outdoor learning environment.
“We’ve been working hard over the past few years to carry out the project and have managed with the support of the kindergarten and wider community. We’ve received grants that have enabled us to complete half of the project, but just need that little bit more support to get us over the line”, Ms Osborne said.
“Evening sponsor, Total Landscape Solutions, will be instrumental in ensuring the project is completed to a high standard, as we create a magical and sustainable area that children will enjoy for years to come”, she said.
Supporting Firestone Rangitikei Tyre Centre as major sponsors of the event are: TDL Automotive, Douglas Giles No-Tillage Ltd, the McKelvie family, Knottington Farms, Turkington Forestry, Lion Nathan, and Fisher Print. Numerous other businesses and individuals have also signed on to provide sponsorship, demonstrating the amazing level of community support for the kindergarten cause.
Tickets for Bulls Kindergartens’ Chip and Kick Casino Night may be purchased for $55 from the Bulls Information Centre. So, what are you waiting for? Get in behind early childhood education, purchase your ticket, don your best playing strip and prepare for a winning evening.
