4177 awarded at Manukau Institute of Technology

It is a time of celebration for the communities of the Manukau district with two weeks of award ceremonies for more than four thousand students of Manukau Institute of Technology graduating this year.

Next week, more than 600 degree and diploma graduands will be honoured at the two main graduation ceremonies held at the Telstra Clear Pacific Events Centre in Manukau. The certificate recipients have been acknowledged at a variety of faculty and department events over the last week.

Manukau Institute of Technology Chief Executive Dr. Peter Brothers says, “We have a commitment to make tertiary study a normal part of life for every New Zealander in our region. It is a measure of the success of our outreach that we now have graduates in such numbers that we have had to extend our graduation over two nights.”

The two main graduation evenings will take place on May 23 and 24 awarding 335 degrees and 304 diplomas.

Manukau Institute of Technology congratulates all its 4177 students being honoured for their academic excellence in 2011.
