Scots College to throw open its doors this Sunday

News Release: Monday 16 May, 2011

Scots College to throw open its doors this Sunday

This Sunday 22 May, Scots College invites prospective students and their families, old boys, and members of the public to come and have a good look around the school.

“Open Days are a great opportunity to explore the school – to wander around our classrooms, meet some of the teachers, check out the sports and cultural facilities and just get a general feel for the school. I always feel very proud seeing our senior students showing visitors around.” says Headmaster Graeme Yule.

Head Boy of the Secondary School, Graeme Peter, and Head Boy of the Prep School, Oliver Wood (images attached), and their classmates will be on hand to answer questions and give parents a student’s perspective. “I will give a brief presentation about my vision and plans for the school, but at the end of the day our boys are the best people to ask when it comes to what it really feels like to be a student at Scots.” says Yule.

”There’s a lot going on at Scots at the moment. We currently have two major building developments underway; a Creative and Performing Arts Centre, and a Covered Sports Centre, so there has been a lot of interest from the community as they watch these buildings take shape.”

”Our intention is that these world-class facilities are an asset both for the school, and also the wider community, and I invite anyone who is interested to come along to the Open Day and hear more about the exciting opportunities these facilities present,” he said.
