NorthTec hosts second annual Regional e-Learning
Symposium on 29 September
NorthTec is
hosting the second annual Regional e-Learning Symposium on
Wednesday, 29 September from 9am-4:30pm at its Interactive
Learning Centre, Raumanga campus, Whangarei.
The theme for the symposium is e-Learning in Practice: Technologies and Tools for Transforming Learning.
New media expert Peter Looms will be the international keynote speaker at the symposium. Other presenters are Wayne Carroll, e-Dean/Technology Learning at Excellere College, Carolyn Bennett, ePrincipal of FarNet and Peter Bruce, Senior Tutor – Business and Tourism at NorthTec.
“The symposium will provide an invaluable insight into international, national and regional trends in learning technology,” said NorthTec’s Flexible Learning Manager, Vasi Doncheva. “We hope that many of our colleagues in the north will come along and find out how technology can transform and empower learning in their businesses, schools and organisations.”
Participants in the symposium will come away with an action plan for developing technology-supported learning solutions as a result of presentations, workshops and case studies facilitated by nationally and internationally recognised e-learning experts, said Ms Doncheva.
Attendance at the symposium is free. Please contact Vasi Doncheva on vdoncheva@northtec.ac.nz to register by 24 September.
