3D Animation Training: Kenworxs at Lifeway


Lifeway College, located in Snells Beach, New Zealand, is proud to welcome Kennedy Kioa Nifo onto their staff team as a fulltime lecturer for their advanced 3D Animation programme.

Ken has five years of extensive animation training under his belt, during which he nabbed multiple awards including Best Classical Animator of the Year, an industry panel award for Best 3D Animator and Best Short Film.

Raised in South Auckland, at the age of 5 Ken was inspired to get into animation by watching Walt Disney cartoons. Since completing his studies Ken has gained commercial experience in both 2D and 3D environments, working on the hit series Bro Town and for the highly successful Flux Animation studios.

Ken is also the founder and owner of Kenworx Studios, where he leads a team of 10 - 20 freelance designers, compositors, VFS artists and post-production specialists, who combine their range of skills and collaborate on a variety of commercial and non-profit, community projects.

Ken has a heart to see young artists inspired and has established his Kenworx Academy initiative to support students in challenging communities.

“I feel the need to teach the younger generation and help them to receive the knowledge and decision making skills many people like my self never had.”
