MP Heatley impressed by NorthTec’s facility

Media release: MP Phil Heatley impressed by NorthTec’s Future Trades facility

Whangarei MP and Minister for Fisheries and Housing Mr Phil Heatley toured NorthTec’s purpose-built trades training facility Future Trades last week during an information evening that attracted a more than 30 prospective students and their families (subs Thursday, 12 November).

Mr Heatley, who is himself a trained engineer, took the opportunity to talk with current students and staff at Future Trades. He was impressed with the facility and remarked on the beautiful workmanship on display in the boat building workshop where a long boat built by a NorthTec student had been set up for visitors to view.
