UCOL strengthens the Taihape link

UCOL will make its mark with a high energy, colourful presence at a Careers Day in Taihape later this month.

Hosted by Taihape Area School on Wednesday 22 July, the Careers Day will be held at the School’s new Multifunction Centre from 10am – 5pm.

Whanganui UCOL’s External Relations Coordinator Katarina Hina says UCOL’s bright orange display stands will be a buzz with interactive displays and eye catching presentations.

“We will be showcasing Whanganui UCOL’s iconic programmes in Computer Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Fashion, Hairdressing, Carpentry and Sports and Fitness,” she says.

Under the Whanganui Tertiary Education Collaborative Initiative, Whanganui UCOL and Taihape Area School jointly deliver Carpentry and Catering courses in Taihape.

“Our presence at the Careers Day is another way of supporting the school and showing more of what UCOL has to offer, particularly at the Wanganui campus,” says Katarina.
