Nurses share their knowledge

Nurses share their knowledge

Whitireia Year 3 Nursing Students held their annual Health Expo on Tuesday 19 May, from 10.00am to 2.00pm in the new atrium at Whitireia.  Staff and students were invited to come and see the displays and learn about a variety of health issues, from anxiety to Parkinson’s.

There were 10 different health displays and each group actively shared their knowledge of health issues, discussing symptoms, prevention and treatment methods.  The students will also visit Wellington Hospital and Hutt Hospital during the next two days.

“It’s a great opportunity for students to share their knowledge and provide health promotion to the community.” Says Kylie Carrig, Nursing Lecturer at Whitireia.
