Plans continue for International School of Cuisine

UCOL and Le Cordon Bleu are still working together to establish an International School of Cuisine in the Wellington region.

UCOL Deputy Chief Executive Clare Crawley says an alternative site for the school in Wellington has been identified and the fine detail is being worked through.

“We continue to liaise with Le Cordon Bleu regarding plans and progress”, and both UCOL and Le Cordon Bleu believe in the project and want it to succeed. It is a fantastic concept that has the support of a wide range of people and organisations, particularly in the food and hospitality industry.”

With regard to comments reported in the Dominion Post and by other media today by Le Cordon Bleu’s Vice President Asia Pacific Roger Griffiths, Ms Crawley that the school will not open in August this year, a target date set two years ago when Martinborough was the proposed location.
