Early Childhood Institute opens the door
Childspace Early Childhood Institute opens the door to a new learning environment.
On March 1st this year Marion
Hobbs will officially open The Childspace Early Childhood
Institute’s new premises at 45 Helston Road in
Johnsonville.
The ever increasing demand for excellent quality early childhood services and the governments ten year plan to increase participation, improve quality and promote collaborative relationships in the early childhood sector has resulted in greater demand for professional development opportunities than ever before.
The Childspace early childhood institute has taken the initiative, without any assistance from government, to help teachers develop their knowledge and skills.
“Our vision is that those who choose to come to Childspace for professional development will be fully immersed in quality practices, equipment, programming and real examples.”
Says Toni Christie the institute’s director.
“The Childspace institute is unique in its approach of facilitation by those teachers and managers who actually have first hand, up to date, applied knowledge and expertise.”
“We have created a model environment. The playground is functional and throughout the building are displays and examples of excellent practice and innovative resources.”
There will be opening addresses by Marion Hobbs and Toni Christie, after which a time capsule will be buried in the model playground outside at the Institute.
