University withdraws draconian Trespass Notice
Embarrassed by negative publicity, Victoria University has withdrawn their draconian Trespass Notice served against former Student President and Workers’ Party Mayoral candidate Nick Kelly yesterday.
In a letter from University General Counsel Victoria Healy sent earlier today Nick was informed that this Trespass notice was being withdrawn. According to Victoria Healy “the Vice-Chancellor considers that your presence on campus presents no risk and that you should be permitted re-entry”
“I am pleased this Trespass notice which would have prevented me entering campus for 2 years has been withdrawn by the university” says Nick Kelly. “This notice should never have been issued and I’m pleased the university has come to its senses”
