Cognition Consulting Commences Groundbreaking Recruitment Process for Jeffs Road Primary School & Junior High School Principals
NEW ZEALAND, Wednesday 13 June 2007: Cognition Consulting, arguably the leading provider of education consulting services both locally and globally, has been awarded the contract to work with the establishment boards to attract and select two new Principals for the innovative Jeffs Road Primary and Jeffs Road Junior High Schools in Manukau City, New Zealand.
The Jeffs Road Schools are part of the unique and exciting planned community environment that will accommodate 44,000 people by 2015. The two schools are part of a diverse network of eight, all of which will be high decile schools catering to the needs of this new community. Leadership and management of the schools will require high calibre, visionary Principals to lead the development of new possibilities in schooling.
"A community development of this scale, and the educational requirements that go with it, are rare in New Zealand. We're both flattered and excited to have been provided with the opportunity to work with the establishment boards on the attraction and selection of outstanding educationalists for both the Jeffs Road Primary and Jeffs Road Junior High School," says Carolyn MacDonell, Executive Director, Cognition Consulting Limited.
Reflecting on the significance of the contract and the importance attached to finding the right Principals, Cognition Consulting has taken the innovative step of filming a range of key stakeholders from the Jeffs Road Primary and Junior High School Boards and posting their comments and expectations about the sort of prerequisites the Principals should have on the Cognition Consulting Limited website, www.cognitionconsulting.co.nz or click here.
These range from an Establishment Board Chair discussing community and parental expectations through to a Governance Facilitator commenting on the educational aspects of both schools.
"We've canvassed the views of people from within the community so that Principals who are interested in applying can get a deeper understanding of not only parental aspirations but also the vision of the Jeffs Road schools boards," adds Carolyn MacDonnell.
Expressions of interest, along with a completed application form, are required by Monday, 9 July 2007. These should be directed to jobs@cognitionconsulting.co.nz, quoting either vacancy No. 0704-6 (Jeffs Road Junior High School) or 0704-7 (Jeffs Road Primary School).
