Hamilton’s Spark To Ignite The City

Hamilton’s Spark To Ignite The City

Wintec’s International Festival Of Media, Arts And Design, Promises More World Class Talent

What Is Spark Festival?

Wintec’s annual, week-long celebration of creativity which brings artists, filmmakers, musicians, authors, photographers, designers and media personalities from the four corners of the globe to share their worlds with Hamilton.

The festival offers a series of talks, workshops, exhibitions and screenings designed to stimulate ideas and nourish the mind concentrating on the issues facing those working in the creative industries.

Primarily staged for Wintec School of Media Arts students, along with their peers at the University, SPARK has increasingly attracted audiences from all over New Zealand. While SPARK is hosted by Wintec (Waikato Institute of Technology) it is not only for students. The SPARK events are open to the public, and at no charge but are on a first in first served basis.
