In his new role, reporting to Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor David Mackay, David Crabbe will be responsible for managing the University’s academic policy.

Professor Mackay, who is currently Acting Vice-Chancellor, welcomed Associate Professor Crabbe to his new role.

“David brings considerable academic and management experience to this role. A major focus will be the ongoing implementation of the recommendations from the 2005 Academic Audit of Victoria by New Zealand Vice-Chancellors’ Committee’s Academic Audit Unit.”

Associate Professor Crabbe said he was looking forward to the challenges of the new position.

“Learning and teaching sit alongside research as the raison d’être of a university. I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues at Victoria to ensure that we manage the learning and teaching part to the highest level.”
