‘Agent Visits support Market Diversification’
‘Agent Visits support Market Diversification’
Education New Zealand:
Education agents from Brazil, Spain and Italy are the latest visitors to New Zealand as part of the joint Education New Zealand and NZTE ‘PACE 2005’ national international education marketing programme.
‘Agents are a key component of New Zealand’s educational marketing mix’ says Stuart Boag, Communications Director for Education New Zealand (ENZ). ‘New Zealand does not have the international reach to promote our educational options that countries like Britain and the USA enjoy. Having agents proactively promote New Zealand to their customers is a proven way of getting direct to the student market. The best way they can promote us is with the benefit of having been here and seen for themselves what we can offer both in the classroom and outside’.
‘New Zealand institutions are seeking to diversify their sources of students’ says Stuart Boag. ‘A greater variety of nationalities makes for a more dynamic classroom environment, and gives Kiwi students a chance to interact with a greater variety of cultures. It’s a win for all students’.
New Zealand has been gradually building its profile in Brazil. ‘We have just had a number of institutions go to Brazil during March and participate in some very successful education fairs’ says Stuart Boag. ‘This agent’s visit will build further on that activity. Italy and Spain are newer markets for New Zealand, and the visit allows institutions to get first hand market information and build business relationships’.
