Education Marketing Ramps Up’
Education Marketing Ramps Up’
‘With
simultaneous visits from groups of education agents from
Germany and Viet Nam commencing next week, the marketing of
New Zealand education to international students is
progressively ramping up’ says Stuart Boag, Communications
Director for Education New Zealand. ‘Four agents from each
country will be in New Zealand for the next eleven days,
seeing institutions as diverse as language institutions,
vocational trainers and secondary schools’.
The visits are the latest in an intensive schedule of marketing activities run jointly by Education New Zealand and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise under the PACE 2005 programme to promote New Zealand both here and abroad.
‘Germany and Viet Nam are quite different markets’ says Stuart Boag ‘but they share the fact that they are growing for New Zealand. Increasingly, students from both countries are seeing the advantages that New Zealand has by comparison with other destinations.’
‘Along with visits to a variety of institutions, the agents will also experience a bit of what makes New Zealand special’ says Stuart Boag. ‘Students come for the education, but the recreation and lifestyle they can enjoy whilst learning are a key determinant in the final choice. New Zealand may be further to come, but the journey is worth it. By hosting these agents here in New Zealand, they can see for themselves the advantages that we have – and help prospective students make an informed choice’.
