Students welcome Code of Practice for students with
impairments
“Today’s launch of the Code of Practice for an Inclusive Tertiary Education Environment for Students with Impairments: represents a positive step in ensuring quality education for all students by assisting tertiary education providers to create an inclusive education environment,” said Fleur Fitzsimons Co-President of the New Zealand University Students’ Association (NZUSA).
“All tertiary institutions in New Zealand should endorse and implement this Code immediately to ensure that they meet the needs of students with impairments.”
“The Code provides a positive vision for the creation of a positive education environment for students with impairments.”
“Tertiary education providers have relating to students with impairments and the Code will assist education providers to improve education outcomes for these students.”
The Code of Practice has been developed by ACHIEVE, the National Post-Secondary Education Disability Network Incorporated in partnership with stakeholders involved with tertiary education for students with impairments.
