Indonesian Agents Visit New Zealand
Four education agents from Indonesia are visiting New Zealand next week as part of the ongoing marketing activities organised and promoted jointly by Education New Zealand and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. During their time here they will be visiting educational institutions in both the North and South Islands.
This visit will build relationships between the agents and participating institutions and allow the agents to see first hand the quality of education and pastoral care that their clients can expect if they choose to come to New Zealand for their education.
Indonesia is an important market for New Zealand educators. In 2002, 746 students from Indonesia came to New Zealand, and the number has been steadily growing. However, terrorist activity has made it difficult for institutions to market consistently within Indonesia, and makes it all the more important that New Zealand can host education agents over here.
This visit is part of a comprehensive series by agents from many of New Zealand’s key education markets during 2003. With many international factors such as economic performance and the ongoing threat of terrorism having an impact on international student flows, Education New Zealand and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise are working hard together to ensure that marketing opportunities are available across a diverse range of markets.
