Independent Schools Elect New Officers


INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS ELECT NEW OFFICERS

Independent Schools of New Zealand (ISNZ) has elected Peter Ferguson, Board Member of Kings College, Auckland, and partner with legal firm Simpson Grierson, as Chairperson of their organisation.

Mr Ferguson welcomes the opportunity to lead an outstanding group of schools that contributes so positively to New Zealand's education system, and the nation's growth and innovation.

Peter Ferguson replaces long-serving former Chairperson Peter Harrison who has recently retired after three decades of leadership roles in the independent school sector.

The Association of Heads of Independent Schools (AHIS) has elected Steve Robb, Principal of St Peter's School, Cambridge, as President, and he automatically becomes the ISNZ Deputy Chairperson. Lynda Reid, Principal of St Cuthbert's College, Auckland is the new AHIS Deputy President.

Colin Sweetman, Bursar, Christ's College, Christchurch continues as President of the Association of Bursars and School Administrators (ABSA).
