New Zealand based Science Web site records 65 thousand hits in first 6 months of operation

The Science Site http://www.thesciencesite.info , the New Zealand-based webzine for 15-18 year olds, has been online for just 6 months.

The site has recorded 65,575 hits since its launch last November and is fast developing an international readership

The stories are updated fortnightly and currently feature these topics:

* Colossal Squid

* Maggots & the Law

* Kiwi Link to DNA Jubilee

* Contraceptive Carrots

A unique feature of the site is the contributions of a feature writer, as well as student journalists from the Auckland University of Technology's School of Communication Studies.
