The Digital Mac You've invested heavily in a new Mac and it comes packed with superb software for business and pleasure.
And what's more, the packages work smoothly together, making it easy to invite people in your Address Book to an event
in iCal or to add a soundtrack to a slideshow. This series of tutorials shows you how to use some of that software. Most
tutorials are 1.5 hours, though iPhoto, iMovie and iDVD are longer.

3. Wireless Technology Workshops - all you ever needed to know Presented by Jill van Nortwick
This 4 session Series will provide a comprehensive high level business overview of using Wireless data to your business
advantage - the what, why, and how of wireless data.
The target audience for the sessions are managers, strategists and senior marketing managers People who need to have a
comprehensive understanding of how Mobile Data can be used and how it might impact on communication /business today and
in the future.
This is the definititve opportunity to convince your board members, senior managers and your important customers
Session 1: How Wireless Works - you'll leave feeling comfortable with the jargon and knowing enough to ask the right
questions. We'll cover networks (cellular, 802.11, and bluetooth) and data access on PDAs and cellphones. Wednesday 28th
May 8.30am - 12.00pm
Session 2: Mobilising your Business - you'll leave knowing why you should mobilise your business, the state of the
technology (including enterprise applications), the business value, and wireless ways to fill the gaps between workers
and information. Wednesday 18th June 8.30am - 12.00pm
Session 3: Accessing your Customers - you'll leave understanding the current concepts of mobile commerce, location based
services, entertainment, and customer service and how to apply them to the benefit of your business. Tuesday 8th July
8.30am - 12.00pm
Session 4: Marketing without Wires - you'll leave understanding what it is, how it is done, and why you should use
wireless marketing. We'll look at ways to measure your success. Wednesday 30th July 8.30am - 12.00pm
These interactive workshops will be facilitated by Jill van Nortwick, well known in the mobile data space. She is known
to look at issues from a range of angles which will help stimulate your own thinking about wireless data and its uses.
Jill was co-chair of the Mobile Internet Cluster and is now part of the steering comnmittee for the ICT cluster. Jill
previously was Mobile Internet Manager with Ericsoon.
This series, the first in NZ, can be delivered in your region on request to (e)-vision.
The best results will be from attending the series of four, however each session can stand alone.

4. Interactive Breakfast Series presented in partnership with Media Lab South Pacific
The first Breakfast session in 2003 will be held on Thursday May 15th at 7.30am . A late start for this important new
series - there is a lot of ground to cover so don't delay!
Following on from the very successful breakfast series in 2002 focusing on the Unwired World this year the series will
continue for a fifth year and the topic is remote collaboration - one that, through necessity, will increasingly touch
many New Zealand organisations.
Running from May to December this year, this series will explore new technologies for communicating across town, across
the country and across the globe; investigate our needs and desire as a nation to collaborate; and present a showcase of
technology and technology leaders to demonstrate remote collaboration tools with participants from outside of
Wellington.
The first Breakfast in May will begin with an overview of the topic, a simple demonstration of existing tools and
technologies with participants from other NZ centres and introduce some of the research and development activity
underway in this area.
Every month, a new remote collaboration technology will be explored by leading thinkers to lift audience understanding
of this technology and encourage debate by looking at how technology can be influenced by the activities of the
academic, creative, government, and business sectors. Following each presentation, participants are invited to pose
questions, discuss issues and develop ideas that will contribute to the vibrancy and innovation of New Zealand. Full
details on the first session will be circulated on 2 July
