New Pro Vice-Chancellor for Victoria University
Victoria University Vice-Chancellor Professor Stuart
McCutcheon today announced the appointment of a new Pro
Vice-Chancellor to join the University’s senior management
team.
“I am delighted to announce the appointment of
Professor Pat Walsh as Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of
Commerce & Administration. Pat will succeed Professor Neil
Quigley when he completes his term as PVC and Dean at the
end of the year.”
“Pat brings to the position
considerable experience as the successful Head of one of our
largest Schools and as Acting PVC/Dean, and very strong
research credentials which will be important as we move into
a funding environment increasingly driven by research
performance.”
As PVC, Professor Walsh becomes a member of
the University’s senior management team reporting directly
to the Vice-Chancellor and is the line manager to whom the
Heads of the schools of accounting & commercial law,
economics & finance, information management, marketing &
international business and the Victoria Management School
report.
As Dean of Commerce & Administration,
Professor Walsh will be responsible for the academic
programmes in the Faculty of Commerce and Administration,
chairing the Faculty Board and managing the enrolment
staff.
