Education Policies Available Online
The Education Forum has re-published the New Zealand Education Review summary of political parties' education policies. These are available at the Education Forum website ( www.educationforum.org.nz).
The first group of summaries, which are laid out in an easy to read table format, cover key issues in school level education. Policies for the early childhood and tertiary levels will be available online on 19 July.
John Morris, chairman of the Education Forum, said the online summaries provided an in-depth and convenient summary of the education policies of the main political parties. "The New Zealand Education Review has provided an excellent summary of various parties' policies, and the Education Forum is pleased to make this information available online," Mr Morris said. The summaries are part of the Education Forum's programme of improving and expanding the debate on education policy he said.
The information in the tables was provided by the political parties in response to a New Zealand Education Review questionnaire. The school level information first appeared in the 10-16 July edition of the New Zealand Education Review. Policies relating to the early childhood and tertiary sectors will be published in the 17-23 July edition of the paper.
