After a sell out show last year, the NZ International Comedy Festival with Best Foods Mayo is once again teaming up with the iconic Parrotdog Bar in Lyall Bay for Comedy Fest At Parrotdog, mashing together the beloved Sunday night drink with a tasty selection of comedians in a hilarious night of comedy like no other on Sunday 4 May.

Headlining the night of non-stop laughter at Parrotdog Bary in Lyall Bay is Australia’s comedy powerhouse Felicity Ward, star of The Office Australia. Known for her iconic screen roles, TV appearances and international multi-award winning stand-up comedy tours, Felicity’s no-filter, authentic and hilarious attitude to life has made her a darling of critics and fans alike. Audiences may also recognise her from Taika Waititi's Time Bandits, Thank God You're Here, Have You Been Paying Attention? and Spicks and Specks. This is your only chance outside the Best Foods Comedy Gala to see her perform in Wellington.

Joining her is Joe Daymond, fresh off the back of his national tour. Joe has built an online audience of over 350k and racked up millions of views. He’s appeared on Celebrity Treasure Island and 7 Days, and created, wrote, directed, and starred BOUNCERS for Comedy Central UK.

Rounding out the line-up is award-winning comedian, writer, podcaster, poet and actor, Johanna Cosgrove. Star of Madam and co-host of the cult hit podcast Rats in the Gutter, Johanna has been a full-time television writer on Shortland Street and in 2022 published her debut poetry collection Crying on the Phone. Not to mention at least year’s Comedy Fest she was awarded Most Unhinged Show.

Following the success of their partnership last year Comedy Fest and Parrotdog are again joining forces to bring together lager and laughter to make, well, a LAUGHER. While they’ll leave the jokes to the real comedians, audiences across the country will get to try out this special edition Parrotdog x Comedy Fest LAUGHER at all participating festival venues.
