A Big Morning For A Big Cause

Start your day with purpose - and peanut butter - at The BIG Breakfast Fundraiser on Wednesday 7 May, from 7:00am to 8:30am at Rangiora Baptist Church.

Hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Canterbury, this high-energy community event brings together rugby league legend Frank Endacott and one of New Zealand’s most inspiring entrepreneurs, Pic Picot, founder of Pic’s Peanut Butter.

Whether you're a business leader, community supporter or just love a good yarn over breakfast, this is your chance to connect, be inspired and back a cause that’s changing lives.

Enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast while Pic shares his story of grit, purpose, and spreading joy by the jar; “I’ve always believed in the power of connection - and what better way to foster that than by backing mentoring for young people,” says Pic. “Come for the kai, stay for the cause!”

The morning will feature real-life stories from local ‘Big Sister’ Tamara and ‘Little Sister’ Nivana, who have been matched through Big Brothers Big Sisters for an extraordinary nine years. Their mentoring journey offers a heartwarming glimpse into how long-term connections can transform lives in North Canterbury - building confidence, resilience, and brighter futures.

Frank Endacott will bring his trademark energy as MC, with a live auction led by Linda Warren-Davey of Harcourts Four Seasons and a luxury food and drink hamper raffle to top it all off.

“Every ticket sold helps us recruit, train, and match mentors with vulnerable young people in our community,” says Ellie Le Gros, Manager of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Canterbury. “Bring your friends, your workmates, your whole office - this is one breakfast that will feed your heart as well as your stomach.”
