Armstrong Motor Group Kartsport Nz 2020 National Sprint Championships Meeting Postponed

Published: Wed 18 Mar 2020 07:50 AM
“The KartSport New Zealand Executive and Management regret to inform you that the Armstrong Motor Group 2020 National Sprint Championships meeting planned to be held at KartSport Canterbury’s Carrs Rd Raceway, Halswell, Christchurch over the Easter long weekend (April 10-13 2020) have been postponed. A new date will be advised at a later stage dependent on an improvement in the COVID-19 virus situation.
“Planning for hosting the National Sprint Championships and other events in these extraordinary times has been a top priority of the leadership team over recent weeks and continues to be our number one priority. Rest assured it is with sincere regret that we have to make this decision.
“Apart from the need to comply with government decrees, the KartSport National Sprint Championships are a place where competitors and teams compete for and defend the ultimate titles in New Zealand karting. To add a significant additional set of rules for our volunteers to administer AND restrict team and entry numbers is not an option for those competitors, officials, crew, family and friends who cherish this four-day plus celebration that hosts 500 attendees per day plus spectators.
“Refund process and/or deferment options to be advised shortly. Please be patient as we work through this in conjunction with KartSport Canterbury.
“Further updates will be posted on our Health & Safety page:
