Splice Construction Magic and Hobbiton™ Movie Set have teamed up to bring a slice of Middle-earth to Claudelands Arena
in Round 12 of the ANZ Premiership.
This Sunday 12 May, Magic host the Northern Mystics in what promises to be a memorable and historic day for teams and
fans.
Along with the Hobbiton Cup being on the line, the match will see Magic legend Casey Kopua take to her home court for
the very last time. After 17 seasons and over 180 appearances for Magic, Kopua will say goodbye to club netball in front
of her adoring fans.
Following on from a successful event in 2018, Hobbiton Movie Set will dress the venue and provide fan entertainment
enough to make any Hobbit smile.
In a further collaboration with Hobbiton and uniform supplier Kukri, the Magic will wear a brand new one-off game dress
for the match.
Game day also falls on Mother’s Day, giving a wonderful opportunity to treat Mums across the Waikato, with the Waikato
Bay of Plenty team opening the day against Northern Marvels in the Beko Netball League at 2:10pm ahead of the main event
which gets underway at 4:10pm.
