95bFM announces the departure of the station’s breakfast host Mikey Havoc. The broadcaster’s final show will be Friday 3 May.
95bFM General Manager Caitlin McIlhagga asks listeners to join the station in thanking Mikey for his contribution to 95bFM in this incarnation and right from his first involvement in the nineties.
“Mikey is a huge part of the bFM story, and his energy and legacy will always be part of the radio 95bFM makes. We wish him all the best for the future, and thank him profusely for all he has brought to bFM.”
Words from the man himself:
"My love for this job is deep, eternal and well documented. Returning to bFM and being asked to host the Breakfast show for the last two years was unexpected, utterly flattering and has been a very, very good time."
"I can now say I’ve clocked up over 25 years with this plucky, grunty little workhorse of a station and for that I couldn’t be more proud. Making great radio is what I love doing and an exciting, thrilling future beckons - see you there! And don’t panic. I’ll still see you at gigs."
The new 95bFM Breakfast host will be announced in the coming weeks.
