Join us this Anzac Day for a day of commemorative services, tours, music and poetry. After the Anzac Day services, visit
our commemorative galleries for your own personal reflections and to discover more about New Zealand’s history and
involvement in WWI and WWII.
Entry to the Museum is free to everyone on Anzac Day. The Museum will open immediately following the Dawn Service.
The Museum will close at 10AM in advance of the Civic Service, and reopen after the conclusion of the Civic Service.

Reflection and Remembrance - Macleans College Chorale

Macleans College Chorale will present a programme of reflection and remembrance in our WWI Hall of Memories. The Chorale
is the premiere choral ensemble at Macleans College and is made up of students in years 9 – 13. Last year, they earned a
Silver Award at the New Zealand Choral Federation’s Big Sing Finale in Wellington.
Lest We Forget Poetry Competition Finalists

Join us in support of the finalists of our Lest We Forget Poetry Competition, as they read out their winning entries.
Finalists were asked to create a response in poetry or prose to reflect on what peace means in this 100th anniversary
year of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles.
Field of Remembrance
WED 10 – TUE 30 APR, 9AM – 9PM, FREE, AUCKLAND DOMAIN
This Field of Remembrance, installed on the northern slopes of the Auckland War Memorial Museum Tāmaki Paenga Hira and in front of the Cenotaph –
the first since the World War I centenary – expands the focus of commemoration to remember New Zealand’s dead in wars
and conflicts, both at home and overseas, during the last 175 years.
